The Lao People’s Democratic Republic Project for Integrated Energy Master Plan toward a Sustainable Carbon Neutral Society
The government of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic strengthens initiatives toward a carbon neutral society by utilizing hydroelectric power generation and renewable energy, promoting electric vehicles and introducing biofuel as determined by the Nationally Determined Contribution so as to realize the 9th Five-Year National Socio-Economic Development Plan (2021-2025) and accelerate measures for climate change.
For that reason, the Lao People’s Democratic Republic Project for Integrated Energy Master Plan toward a Sustainable Carbon Neutral Society will share its goals in order to allow related organizations to cooperate as well as establish a master plan for long-term energy transition toward a carbon neutral society by utilizing abundant renewable energy sources in the country. At the same time, we will promote the implementation of the master plan by making proposals on policies, an organizational structure, and investment projects and will consider the possibility of contribution to carbon neutrality in nearby countries.
With the hope of realizing a carbon neutral society, we are active in every corner of the world.
