The following is an application of the Integrated Earthquake Simulator (IES) targeted at an actual city.
This case is intended to provide information that contributes to the disaster prevention and mitigation plan of local governments through a series of analyses (ground response, structure response, tsunami flooding, and evacuation activity). Specifically, simulations are created where additional evacuation areas are installed as in Fig. 1 (countermeasure from the tangible aspect) and where ensuring residents preliminarily in the region close to the sea shown by the dashed line understand the importance of evacuating to the mountain side as in Fig. 2 (countermeasure from the intangible aspect), which can be used as information for making a decisions on the disaster prevention and mitigation plan of local governments.
